As many of us know, due to the ongoing government shutdown, SNAP benefits are at risk of running out of funds in November, impacting more than 342 million people in the US that utilize the benefit. This is a devastating situation affecting many families with children or are elderly or disabled. As a community, it is up to us to show up in any way that we can, whether is it sharing resources, volunteering or supplying food banks for those in need.
